Jogja Istimewa

May19

I have been living in Yogyakarta (just call it Jogja) for about five years and I love it all about Jogja. Everything is just awesome! The people, the foods, the city, the tourism spot, etc. The native Jogja people is so friendly. I like to hear them speak in their local language (even though I can’t even understand it) and the jokes. I don’t know why but every time they joked (maybe because they used Javanese, so it rare in my ear), it makes me laugh. 😀

The foods also tasty. The first time I came to Jogja I don’t like the foods because it tastes sweet (I prefer spicy than sweet). But after several months in Jogja, I started to like the foods, which is sweet food because of my college friend. Her name is Anita. She is Javanese and every time we went to eat, she always took me to eat Jogja’s food that is gudeg. Unfortunately gudeg tastes so good, meskipun masih kemanisan buat saya. Pokoknya enaak, saya sukaa. Sekarang kalau bingung mau makan apa pasti nyarinya gudeg haha. Apalagi kalau gudeg-gudeg yang lesehan pinggir jalan. Sensasi makan gudeg di pinggir jalan sambil ngeliatin kendaraan berlalu lalang apalagi sama orang kesayangan. WOW!

Other than the foods and the people, the city and tourism spot is my favorite. Every corner of the city have a uniqueness. Street lamps, pedicab, the old buildings, palace, so many attractive place including 0 kilometer and Malioboro. Malioboro is one of street name in Jogja and along that street is a shopping center that sell souvenirs related to Jogja. I love to walk along that street. The atmosphere is “Jogja banget”.
